Each Day

This picture speaks for itself.  I love how the girl is sitting in her chair relaxing and the words say it all.  She has a choice what to do with her day.  I choose joy.
Trust your Instincts.

I was thinking about what I use to tell my girls when they were little and they had a dilema they were facing.  I would always tell them to trust their instincts, because their instincts were good, they knew right from wrong and could trust themselves to make right decisions,  It was also about reading other peoples' motives.  I would talk with them about  listening to their gut feelings about a person, that it was almost always correct.  I believe that was the Holy Spirit in them telling them the truth, and to learn to listen to it.

Possibility

She learned to cup possibility in her hand.  This was done right before Christmas 2011 while thinking about the coming year 2012.  I can't wait to see the possibilities opening up for me in 2012!  Its going to be a great year.

Cafe-Bar

This painting I did with the idea of creating two more similar type buildings.  I like the way this one came out.

This original is currently for sale at Le Bistro Fine Dining & The Art Gallery, 3402 Trent Road in New Bern, NC.  I also have giclee prints available for sale, as well as cards and magnets.

Rock of Ages

The words to this picture are somewhat personal talking about trusting God, and believing in a better way of doing things.  It reads;  "feeling a fool I begin.  I have to face up to my own pain, secret dreams.  Oh Lord... anything is possible       extend kindness, experience of loving.  God is beckoning you to come out of hiding into the light and to slip under His comforting wings."   Further down on the page it reads "Rock of Ages cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee"

The Trust Others Give You

The silverware in the picture is kind of a play on the word "Grace".  I thought it would be fun to have a double meaning on the word.

Remembering

Isn't this what our lives are really all about?  That joyous sense of self we learned as children stays with us our whole lives.

I painted this picture for a friend of mine who makes cakes and will be opening up a Bakery soon.  I hope to put this one in her bakery if I don't sell it before.

Hope

The words on this painting say "A little cry escaped her.  She was suddenly surprized by hope."
some more of my pictures for sale are shown here.  This is my booth at the Farmers Market in New Bern.  I also sell knitted bracelets, headbands, magnets, cards as well as prints from the original paintings.  Some of the prints are even better than the actual paintings.
This is one of my favorites.  It referes to eating together, loving each other and feeding the soul as well as the body.  I have this painting available in cards, magnets and giclee prints.

To the World

This painting is no longer available as an original, but I do have giclee's available, as well as cards and magnets.
I sold this original today.  I was glad to sell it, but sad to see it go.  I love the look of this girl.  I still have prints of her, but my original went for a steal.

Fireflies

The words on this painting are pretty nice.  It says:  "She knew that there were some whose light was so great to the world, that when they were gone, their light remained.  The original is available at The Art Gallery at 3402 Trent Road, New Bern, NC  252-637-7331

Embrace the Moment, Life is a Journey & Someday is Now

Some more of my paintings with a message.  I also make prints and greeting cards from these paintings.

Snowstorm Bicycle

The red bicycle appears to be in a snowstorm.  I had fun doing the texture to make it look like snow.  It came out pretty good.  I used this painting to make greeting cards.  Inside the card it says;  "Where ever you go, take your heart with you.".  I also have a giclee available with the words "where ever you go take your bike with you."
